These Terms govern your use of Mapster (https://mapster.com.au) operated by Mapster (ABN 68 740 433 739). By creating an account, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. About us
Mapster sells custom map posters printed in Australia. Contact: contact form.
2. Custom and personalised products
Each poster is made to your design (city, map area, theme, size, and material). Because products are personalised, please review your preview carefully before checkout. Colours and fine detail may vary slightly between screen preview and physical print.
3. Orders and payment
- Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
- Posted orders are sent via Australia Post to addresses in Australia.
- You may instead choose local pickup in Brisbane City at checkout. We will email you when the poster is ready to collect.
- A binding order is formed when payment is successfully completed through Stripe.
4. Production and shipping
- After payment we prepare your print file and send it to production.
- Estimated production and shipping times are shown at checkout; they are estimates, not guarantees.
- For posted orders, risk of loss passes to you when the carrier accepts the parcel for delivery.
- For local pickup, risk of loss passes to you when you collect the poster.
5. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Nothing in these Terms limits your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded: acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and matching description.
If a poster is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, contact us and we will remedy the failure (repair, replacement, or refund) as required by law.
6. Change-of-mind returns
In addition to your ACL rights, we offer the following voluntary return policy for change of mind:
- You may return a poster within 30 days of delivery if you are not satisfied with it.
- The poster must be in resaleable condition (undamaged, unmarked, and in original packaging if provided).
- You must contact us first via the contact form for return authorisation and instructions.
- Return shipping: You pay return postage unless the poster is faulty, damaged in transit, or we sent the wrong item.
- Return address: Use the contact form for return instructions before posting.
- Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will refund the product price to your original payment method. Delivery fees are non-refundable unless we are at fault.
This change-of-mind policy does not apply to items damaged by misuse, normal wear after display, or orders where you approved a defective proof without notifying us.
7. Cancellations
- Before production starts: contact us as soon as possible; we will cancel and refund if printing has not begun.
- After production starts: personalised items cannot be cancelled except under ACL or our faulty-goods obligations.
8. Intellectual property and map data
- Your custom layout is produced using OpenStreetMap data © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under ODbL.
- You receive a personal licence to display the printed poster you purchased. You may not resell our design files, reproduce posters commercially, or redistribute the underlying map data except as permitted by OSM licence terms.
- Mapster branding, website, and software remain our property.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to harass others, infringe third-party rights, attempt to bypass security or quotas, or generate content that is unlawful or offensive. We may suspend access for abuse.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, except where liability cannot be limited under the ACL.
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes to paid services will not apply retroactively to orders already paid.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Courts in Australia have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your rights as a consumer.
